City Secretary


The goal of the City Secretary’s office is to maintain accurate records for the city that are available to citizens, city council, and city staff. This is achieved through effective organization of files, coordination with other city departments to update city codes and ordinances, and establishment of a record retention schedule for city records.

Description of Responsibilities

The City Secretary’s Office provides information and documentation to inquiries about city government and services. The City Secretary’s Office acts as the liaison between the municipal court judges and court proceedings. In addition, the city secretary provides notary services to the public.

The City Secretary’s Office records and maintains agendas and minutes, resolutions, and ordinances, conducts municipal elections, and is responsible for alcoholic beverage permits.
