Southside Pool COVID-19 Exposure
The City was notified on June 23rd that a part-time staff member of Southside Place’s Parks and Recreation Department tested positive for COVID-19. The point of contact for the employee came from a gathering outside of work on June 17th. The employee that tested positive worked at Southside Place Pool on June 18th and June 19th. Other employees who may have had a prolonged exposure to the individual have been identified and quarantined. To protect the individual’s privacy regarding health information, the employee’s name and position is not being released. However, the risk of exposure to residents, staff, or other community members visiting the pool is low, as there was limited prolonged exposure and proper hygiene and social distancing was being followed.
For questions please contact our Parks and Recreation Director Andrew Deavers.
